Comfort from God’s sovereignty

Today, I was just reminded by the Lord of His divine sovereignty. Its amazing how our minds can become dull from such an amazing reality! I’ve read about His sovereignty so many times and I believe it with all my heart. But it still strikes me hard every time I get a glimpse of it! Ah, how wonderfully deep and unfathomable is the character of our God!

For the past weeks, my life has been marked with the scars of God’s discipline. But I am happy that HE is the ONE who is doing the disciplining and that no other hand could smite me without His permission. I find it very comforting that our God is sovereign and that He is in control of every event, situation and experience no matter how painful. What an amazing God! I believe only the regenerate can truly praise God for His sovereignty! Praise God!
